Connect Hackney

Feel better for singing

Weekly sessions on Wednesdays: 10.30–11.30am
Register online: http://carerscollective.org/choir

Spread the word about the new weekly group — the Carers’ Choir. Not only for carers, anyone 50 and over is welcome to join!

The Carers’ Choir is led by Romain Malan of World Harmony Orchestra (WHO).  The orchestra was founded to bring the gift of music to people who might not normally be able to access its wellbeing benefits.

Check out WHO’s recent online performance for Holocaust Memorial Day 2021 below.

Group singing can be a valuable tool, helping to build confidence and self-esteem, developing compassion and empathy, stimulating communication skills, minimising anxiety and providing an opportunity to connect with others – even virtually.

Anyone can join; everyone benefits from the uplifting experience gained from singing with others.

If any of your service users have expressed an interest in singing and connecting with others over Zoom, and they are a Hackey resident aged 50+, please direct them towards the weekly choir!

They can register at the link below or call 020 8533 0951 to find out more.
