Carers Week activities

This week, between 7 and 13 June, is Carers Week – the annual campaign that highlights the challenges unpaid carers face.

Carers are unpaid and look after family or partner or friend because they are ill, frail or have a disability.

The campaign recognises the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the country.

Carers Week helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and thereby access much-needed support from local organisations.

This year the theme for Carers Week is Make Caring Visible and Valued, which focuses on the importance of not only recognising carers, but also valuing them for the vital contribution they make on a daily basis.

Below is a list of forthcoming events, projects and services for carers run by Hackney Carers Centre.
