This week is Loneliness Awareness Week 2020 and during lockdown some are feeling more isolated than ever.
Despite lockdown rules easing, the past few months have been extremely tough, particularly for older people.
This week we listened to one of Connect Hackney’s media group, Charles Daniel, discussing loneliness and the impact of Covid-19 in a podcast by Thrive LDN.
The podcast is hosted by Kate Shurety, Executive Director at Campaign to End Loneliness, and Charles appears with Patrick Vernon, the Hackney-based social commentator and activist.
Also on the podcast is Amy Perrin, the founder of The Marmalade Trust who organise the Loneliness Awareness Week.
The episode is part of a set of podcasts recorded in about the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the challenges faced by Londoners because of this.
