The Connect Hackney senior media group is made up of Hackney residents aged over 50. Walter, aged 88, is our oldest participant to date.
Media group members receive training in computers, photography, interviewing and writing skills.
As well as learning, members produce stories, photos, and audio for this website and for Hackney Senior magazine.
One Media Group participant, Eugenia, said: “I joined the group to see if I can learn to do computer, because mostly everything now is digital – computer this, computer that!”
