In Pictures: Chair Disco – the popular way for 50+ to exercise

A new fun fitness class has proved popular with residents. Weekly Chair Disco sessions are being hosted at Adelaide Court every Friday morning at 10.30 am.

They run seated exercise sessions for older people – aged 50 and over – in East London. Sessions are free and fun and a great way to get active and meet new people.

“This class has been a hit. I love the music.”

Chair Disco sessions are led by Anne-Marie who has been teaching chair-based exercise for older adults since 2016. (Anne-Marie is described on the Chair Disco website as “DBS checked, fully insured, and ready to rumble”!)

“You can’t help yourself going just a little bit wild”.

Adelaide Court sessions, funded by the Wick Award Adelaide Court resident said: “This class has been a hit. I love the music – you can’t help yourself going just a little bit wild”.

Newcomers are welcome. For details of the next session see the Chair Disco website
