Connect Hackney has a Strategic Partnership Board and Older People’s Committee to make sure that the programme delivers its outcomes and meets the aims of the Big Lottery Fund, Ageing Better Fulfilling Lives programme.
The Strategic Partnership Board (SPB) is made up of representatives from Hackney CVS, Connect Hackney Older People’s Committee, Hackney Council, NHS City and Hackney Clinical Commissioning Group, the GP Confederation, Healthwatch Hackney and Age UK East Lon.
A key function of the SPB is to ensure that there are links between the work of the partners, Connect Hackney and the projects that we commission.

The Older People’s Committee (OPC) is made up of Hackney residents aged 50 years and over who expressed an interest, understanding or commitment to improving the lives older people experiencing or at risk of social isolation. Its key function is to act as an advisory body to the programme team and Strategic Partnership Board (SPB) in support of the objectives of the programme. Their input helps ensure that older people remain at the heart of Connect Hackney by being involved in the planning, delivery and evaluation of our work.
