George and the Dragon
Immediate Theatre has been working incredibly hard this term with their Older People’s group who have been preparing for the performance of St George & the Dragon.
Immediate Theatre are a Connect Hackney partner and their show is currently touring primary schools in the borough.
Immediate Theatre’s first dress rehearsal was on the 1st July at Nightingale Primary School – see photos.
Each performance is followed up with a workshop with the students, who explore the theme of the show and allow the students to practically explore different physical interpretations of the dragon and come up with ideas for what could happen next.
Their tour will be followed with a week-long intergenerational project which will culminate in a production involving young and older participants to commence Immediate Theatre’s summer programme.
